Ceramics, floristry and photography – three topics which take relevant parts in my current works. The stoneware bowl from my series Stambi was the ideal basis for this creation. In addition to delicate and full blossoms, coloured in warm May shades, they complement each other in a cheerful arrangement. The light for my photographs is always essential. In this case it was crucial to catch the late and smooth afternoon light, to capture the early summer atmosphere appropriately.
Since my childhood floristry accompanies me as a long-standing passion. For this reason, floral arrangements often find a place next to my ceramics and enliven my porcelain and stoneware works. Mainly, I work with seasonal materials and blossoms from the home garden sometimes wild grown plants as well, which I gathered from refreshingly inspiring walks through woods and fields.
floristry for the advent and winter
I mainly use freshly cutted greenery and dried inflorescences from my own garden, for my decorations. I deliberately add coloured or neutral dried flowers, porcelain accessories, as well as candles and lights, to present my work in the best way for the location. I pay special attention to the colourful integration of the floral arrangements into the planned environment, or to make them especially special.
